"Full-stack" is the easiest title to claim and the hardest to verify. The only honest test is to hand someone a feature that crosses the schema, the API and the UI, and watch where they get uncomfortable.
See how we vet this roleHire Latin American developers for your US team
Nearshore only works when the engineer is in your working day and inside your process. We find senior and staff engineers across Latin America, pair live with every candidate for two hours before you see them, and stay in the engagement for as long as they do.
Tell us the role
Search, interviews and a shortlist you decline cost nothing.
Why Latin America and not somewhere cheaper
Overlap changes how software gets built. An engineer in Mexico, Colombia, Brazil or Argentina joins your standup, answers a review while the context is still fresh, pairs through an incident, and asks the product question before the decision ships. Four to six real hours with your team is the floor of the role, not a premium add-on.
The region also has mature independent-contractor markets and engineers used to working across borders. None of that makes classification risk disappear. We use a written contract chain, express IP assignment and one US counterparty, so your counsel reviews a structure instead of trusting a platform label.
Cost matters, but the cheapest hour is not the offer. Latin American rates sit below comparable US hiring while still paying experienced engineers, funding the live vetting and keeping a founder on the engagement. We publish what the hour costs, starting at $49, so you can reject the economics before spending a call on us.
Retention comes from being inside the team, not from the map. An engineer who sees the roadmap, owns production work and sits in the decisions has a reason to stay. One kept outside the room becomes interchangeable, and leaves like it. That is why the model starts with team integration and keeps one founder in the loop for the whole engagement.
They join your team, not a bench
An embedded engineer sits in your standup, your repo and your Slack from day one. We never leave the loop: the founder who vetted them still reads their code weekly or every two weeks, then sends that read in writing.
- Engineers you get to know
- You get a person with a name, a write-up and a calendar. Nobody is swapped out behind your back, and no second account manager sits between you and them.
- They work inside your process
- Your repo, your board, your standup, your review rules. We do not run a parallel delivery process or insert a project manager you did not ask for.
- We stay in the engagement
- The founder who ran the vetting reads the work weekly or every two weeks and sends you one page: what shipped, what stalled, and where we would push back on you.
- 4 to 6 hours of real overlap
- Latin American time zones mean the working day overlaps yours, so review, pairing and incident response happen live rather than on a 12-hour delay.
Roles we place
Four roles, placed at senior and staff level. Each gets a pairing task built around the way that role actually fails.
What it costs
One USD hourly rate covers their pay, our fee, the vetting, the founder oversight, contracts and invoicing. Rates reviewed September 2026.

How the process runs
In a 20-minute call, we define the stack, scope, seniority, timezone overlap, and what success looks like. You leave knowing whether we can fill the role
Our agent runs a broad search across the Latin American talent market, not only our existing network or a stale roster. It finds active and passive engineers, then checks each one for stack, seniority, availability, timezone overlap, rate, and fit
A founder who has done the job pairs live with each candidate for about two hours, then scores the session across six axes. No recruiter screen. No delegated technical interview
You only receive one to three matches at most, each with a two-page vetting summary, scorecard, and honest gaps. If nobody clears the bar, we say so. No filler candidates
We handle the services agreement, contractor paperwork, IP assignment, confidentiality, payments, and ongoing admin. You receive one invoice from us while we take care of everything behind it
How we compare
Marketplaces, staffing agencies and payroll platforms solve different parts of the hiring problem. This compares the structure you pay for, not unverifiable competitor prices.

FAQ
Still have a question? We put every expectation in writing before you commit.
A founder who has held the role runs every interview. No recruiters. No account managers. When you ask about a candidate, you speak with the person who paired with them.
No. Most engineers work with us as independent contractors, and engineers based in Peru may be employed by us directly. None are your employees. We manage the contract chain so IP assignment and confidentiality obligations flow through to you. Contractors handle their own local taxes and social security.
You pay one all-in hourly rate per engineer. We quote it on the call after we understand the stack and seniority. A rate without a role tells you only whether we are cheap. We are not the cheapest.
Latin America combines deep engineering markets with four to six hours of overlap with US working hours. Design discussions happen live, not over a 14-hour round trip. We also know this market well enough to assess engineers in context, not from resumes alone.
Say no. You pay nothing for the search, interviews, or a shortlist you decline. If we cannot find anyone we would personally vouch for, we tell you instead of padding the list.
During the first 30 days, cancel with no notice or exit fee. You pay only for days worked. After that, if the engagement stops working, we vet a replacement against the same six axes and introduce them within 5 business days.
Yes. Before you sign, your tech lead pairs with the candidate on your own problem, on camera. There is no charge and no limit on candidates. Our write-up gives you evidence; it does not replace your judgment.
AI-assisted development is one of our six vetting axes. On a task we choose, we watch the candidate work with an assistant, inspect its output, and reject bad suggestions. Blindly accepting generated code fails. Refusing to use AI at all fails too.
Twenty minutes. You leave knowing whether we can fill the role.
Tell us the stack, the scope and the seniority. On the call you get a straight answer on whether we can fill it and what it would cost. If we take it on, a founder pairs with each candidate and you get one to three names with the write-ups attached. If nobody clears the bar, we say so instead of padding the list.
